Good morning, friends. No long post this past weekend from me, but I’ll have something for you tomorrow. In the meantime, I just wanted to put out an enthusiastic request for guest posts on summer reading!
We’re past Memorial Day and the college students have graduated, so even though here in the Northeast we’ve been having lots of wind, rain, and lower than normal temperatures, it’s time to talk summer reading. I have one reading project in mind beyond what I’m researching for my book. I’ll tell you about that later once I get started. But I’m very interested—and I know you are, too—in what everyone is taking on this summer.
Please, raise your hand and volunteer to write a Wednesday guest post this summer! It doesn’t matter whether you’re brand new to Better Book Clubs or you’ve been here from the start. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve ever left a comment or are simply lurking. It doesn’t even matter whether you’ve finished the book in question, because as you know, I always write about books in progress, which is part of the fun. And it doesn’t matter whether you’ve guest posted here before. If you’re reading something now that you want to share with everyone, have at it again!
The parameters for a guest post are simple:
—Reach out to me by comment, message, or email to let me know you’re interested.
—By Tuesday morning of our agreed-upon week, send me one paragraph on your reading-in-progress with a photo of the cover.
—No need to pass judgment on whether the book is good or bad—just tell about your experience of reading it. (Reading previous Wednesday posts, both by me and by other guests, can be helpful.)
—I’ll do a little proofreading polish, and voilà !
There’s plenty of room for everyone who would like to submit a guest post, so please, don’t be shy! Raise your hand!
This summer I plan on reading Austen, Shakespeare, and Spanish authors.
I'd be happy to write a guest post. Last year's was fun.
