I finished Eastbound by Maylis de Kerangal - it's like if the Sandra Bullock and Kenau Reeves movie was on the trans-Siberian railroad in novella form.
Just finished *Framed Women of Ardmore House" - from Goodreads: A sharp, savvy mystery about an autistic editor who inherits a crumbling English estate, only to find herself at the center of a murder ..." I thought it was quite good. Also rereading Deborah Crombie in order - and plowing through *The Anglo-Saxons: A History of the Beginning of England" by Marc Morris.

I just finished Margo's Got Money Troubles. Such a quirky, fresh book!
Would it fulfill my ongoing search for laugh out loud funny books?
It DID make me laugh out loud, but it's definitely edgy/quirky so probably not to everyone's taste. I personally loved it!

Sounds like you've got an English theme going!
